Teacher training courses
Looking for somewhere to host a teacher training course with an outdoor education focus? We can offer a training course venue with a difference. Located in the beautiful Alden Valley, Cronkshaw Fold is a traditional hill farm with a passion for environmentally friendly farming, animal welfare and teaching about the importance of sustainable agriculture. If your training course has a focus on outdoor learning, what better place to run it than a working farm and outdoor education centre?
What we can offer you
- The use of our large classroom space for lecturers and discussions
- Self catered or catered lunch options for delegates
- Use of our kitchen gardens, poly tunnels, broadleafed woodland, mowing meadows, ponds and bogs as outdoor educational spaces
- Free parking for all delegates
We accept bookings year round. We offer first time event organisers visiting our farm a free pre-visit to meet the farm staff, have a look round and discuss any particular objectives you'd like to achieve during your course. To request a visit please email us if you would like to arrange a pre-visit or get some more information prior to submitting a booking form.
We have a minimum charge of the equivalent of 5 people for a half day and 10 people for a full day event. We offer two free places for event organisers, this includes a complimentary lunch provided by us.
*All food provided for the conference will be sourced primarily from the farm, other local farms and ethical food suppliers. We can cater for vegetarians, vegans and other diets on request. Any animal products used in the food will come from farms which follow the 'RSPCA 5 freedoms' farming philosophy.
